Our office is teaming with Senior Solutions Management Group to collect vases for Random Acts of Flowers. In the month of August, you can drop off your gently used vases for donation to Northshore Senior Living. Random Acts of Flowers accepts vases of all types, but those that are 6-9 inches high with a medium sized opening are most useful for their mission. Plastic vases are especially needed at this time. Our office is teaming with Clarity Pointe of Knoxville (newly named Avenir Memory Care at Knoxville), Home Instead Senior Care, and Smoky Mountain Hospice to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association. Join us for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" followed by an auction of an original watercolor by Rebecca Engel Coppala Friday, August 31st from 8:00am-10:00am. Breakfast is $10 with to-go options as well. Gabrielle Blake, LCSW will speak at the Tennessee Society of HealthCare Social Workers 2018 Ethics Conference about “Cancer, a Patient Perspective”.
The conference will feature local experts in the field of Cancer Support, Research, Community Outreach, and personal testimony.
Gabrielle Blake is teaching her Savvy Savings for Seniors class at the Carter Senior Center on September 12th at 11:30am. At this class, you will learn tips and tricks to using coupons, finding local senior discounts and saving money on daily purchases. We are thrilled to again present our Fall Fundraiser, The Alzheimer’s Pansy Project, to honor the memory of Coach Pat Summit and all those dealing with Alzheimer’s disease-from patients and their families, to caregivers and providers of healthcare and support services. PJ Parkinson’s Support Group will hold their 4th annual Parkinson’s Walk-A-Thon on September 29th at the Greenbelt Park in Maryville,TN. Registration begins at 8:30am and the walk begins at 9:30am. Please join us for a morning of fun for the whole family!
