Evie Hayes

Intake Coordinator & Legal Assistant

Evie Hayes is a native of East Tennessee, graduating from Seymour High School. She attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. During her time at UTK, Evie’s studies focused on understanding people, communities, and the ways individuals and families are shaped by their histories and lived experiences. She continued her studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she completed dual master’s degrees in Anthropology and Critical Heritage Studies.

Evie’s academic research took her to Chicago, where she conducted her thesis research at the Field Museum, studying paleopathology and identity within the museum’s Central American and northern South American archaeological collections. This work strengthened her research and organizational skills while giving her experience working closely with historical collections and learning how much can be understood about a person’s life and experiences through careful examination of the past.

Evie is excited to bring her background in anthropology to her work as an Intake Coordinator and Legal Assistant at Franklin & Kyle Elder Law. She appreciates the opportunity to work directly with clients, learn about their individual circumstances, and provide support during what can be an unfamiliar and sometimes overwhelming process.

Outside of work, Evie enjoys spending time with her corgi, Bucky, visiting museums, and reading.
