Gwen Lawless

Gwen is an Elder Care Coordinator, Public Benefits Specialist, and legal assistant with our office. She coordinates and assists our clients with accessing public benefits and advocates for good care for our clients.

Gwen is a member of the Human Rights Committee of Support Solutions of Knoxville, TN. As a member of this committee she helps ensure all persons with intellectual disabilities are happy, healthy, safe, and moving forward in achieving their “Best Life”.

Gwen and her husband Butch are both Tennessee natives and reside in Jefferson City. They have two sons and a daughter and three grandchildren Peyton, Penny, and Krueger.

Family time is very important to Gwen. As often as her busy schedule allows, she is traveling to Stafford, Virginia, to spend time with Peyton and Penny (and spoil them rotten) and spending as much Grammy play time as possible with Krueger.

Like many others in East Tennessee, Gwen reserves Saturday afternoons for the Big Orange! In her “spare time,” Gwen also enjoys cooking, family gatherings, working in her garden, going fishing, camping, watching motocross, or just sitting under the shade trees with Butch watching the wildlife in their yard.

“Being blessed with a special needs child has taught me that you not only have the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one. It is an honor and a privilege to serve and help our most vulnerable populations.”
