Nicole Diggs (Bush)

Nicole Diggs is an Elder Care Coordinator and Public Benefits Specialist. She grew up in Michigan where she pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University. She later went on to get her Master’s degree from Western Michigan University. In 2010, having had enough of the snow and cold weather she moved to Knoxville where she has some family.
Nicole is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW). In order to maintain her license, she must complete at least 12 hours of continuing education each year. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Nicole is a Certified Dementia Practitioner by the National Council for Certified Dementia Practitioners.
Nicole’s past experiences include working directly with adults in community-based mental health facilities. She has also worked with families and children in schools and the foster care system. During the five years prior to joining our practice in February 2016, Nicole was a Clinical Social Worker at Parkwest Medical Center. In her work with patients and families, she witnessed first-hand the struggles and distress that can occur when patients did not have clear Advance Directives and health care power of attorney documents in place. Disagreements about health care decisions for loved ones often caused great discord between family members already dealing with great stress, and sadness. Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddie, her four lovely stepchildren and her three dogs: Harlan, Hattie Mae, and Draco. Nicole likes to stay active and is a setter on several recreational volleyball teams. She also enjoys thrift shopping, reading, landscaping, and DIY home projects.
