Madison Watts
Madison Watts is an East Tennessee native. After graduating from Sweetwater High School, she attended the University of Tennessee, where she completed a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies and Russian Language and Literature in 2024.
During her time at UT, she gained extensive experience supporting cross-cultural initiatives, mentoring international students, and interning in refugee resettlement and legal settings. In 2022, she received State Department funding to study abroad in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. This was her first time on a plane, let alone leaving the country. She spent that time immersed in advanced Russian-language courses and volunteering at the Embassy’s American Space as an English Conversation Club facilitator. More recently, Madison was a State Department Critical Language Scholar studying Russian in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Madison has plans to attend law school in the near future. We are happy she chose to begin her work in the legal field as the Intake Coordinator and a Legal Assistant at our firm. Her passion for elder law stems from caring for family members, from helping with simple daily tasks to transitioning from at-home care to a facility. She now wants to use those personal experiences to aid our clients.
In her free time, Madison is a big supporter of the Arts. She is a recurring cast member and stage manager at the Arts Center of Athens, Tennessee. Fun fact: she played Elsa in a stage production of “Frozen.” She also enjoys learning and performing Russian, Ukrainian, and Georgian dances.
